Police offer Y3 mil reward for info leading to arrest of Mie girl's killer

The National Police Agency on Thursday offered a 3 million yen reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the murder of a 15-year girl whose body was found in a vacant lot on Aug 29 in Asahi, Mie Prefecture.

The reward period will initially be for one year, NPA officials said.

In the month after the murder, police handed out 3,000 leaflets at three locations near the murder scene and said they have received 330 leads so far but none have led to any tangible results.
