Fresh arrest warrants served in Amagasaki murder case

KOBE (Kyodo) -- Police on Sunday served fresh arrest warrants on seven people over a series of alleged murders in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture.

The seven are relatives of Miyoko Sumida, 64, believed to be a key suspect in the incidents who apparently killed herself in a detention facility in December.
The suspects, including Sumida's 30-year-old son Kentaro, allegedly abused and killed Mariko Nakajima, 29, at their condominium in December 2008, according to the police. Her body was buried under the floorboards of a home in Amagasaki.

Six bodies, believed to be linked to the murder cases, have been found so far and Nakajima's case is the third in which the police have arrested the suspects.
The seven have already been arrested or indicted for murder or abandonment of a body.
