No hitch in Cibulkova’s wedding plans after loss
LONDON (Reuters) — The good news for Wimbledon’s newest darling is that, come women’s final day on Saturday, Dominika Cibulkova will be slipping into an all-white outfit.
But rather than striding onto the All England Club’s famed Centre Court for a chance to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish, the Slovakian will be walking down the aisle to keep a long-standing wedding date with her fiance Miso Navara in Bratislava.
When the 18th seed surpassed her own poor grass-court expectations to reach the Wimbledon quarterfi-nals, it looked like the bride could be a no-show for her own big day.

今回取り上げる表現は、 “slip into”です。
まず『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版，大修館）でslipを調べると、意味の一つに 「[服などを]さっと着る[into]：[服などを]さっと脱ぐ[out of]」が載っておりました。
さらにOxford Dictionary of English (Second Edition Reserved, Oxford University Press)によると、 “(slip into/out of) put on or take off (a garment) quickly and easily”とのことでした。
“slip into”を使うことにより、結婚式がすぐにやってくることと、Dominika Cibulkova選手の気持ちの切り替えの速さが表れているように思います。
