ネット上の食事に関する検索サイトであるぐるなびがレストランなどの情報を印刷したチラシを配ることを開始しました。

Gurunavi, Inc., which runs an online restaurant search site, will start delivering printed information on restaurants in residential areas chiefly for elderly people unfamiliar with restaurant searches and making reservations on the Internet.

記事の中で取り上げるのは“reinvigorate ”です。“reinvigorate ”は「・・・を再び元気にする,再び活気づける」とありました。「『ジーニアス英和辞典第4版』大修館書店」ご存知の通り“reinvigorate ”は“invigorate ”に接頭辞の“re-”が付随したものです。さらに、語源を調べるとin+vigor+ateと分解でき“vigor”は「元気づける（vig）もの（or）」と分かりました。加えて、“vigor”の“vi-”の部分は「生きる、食する」という語源であり他にも、“vivid”や“vital”や“vitamin”などがあります。また、“invigorate”をLDOCE で引くと“if something invigorates you, it makes you feel healthier, stronger and have more energy:
”とあります。

チラシを通じて様々な世代の方にレストランなどの飲食店を身近に感じられるようになればいいと感じました。（faith）
