toneと聞くと、「(音の)調子、音色」が真っ先に浮かびますが、ここのtonedはそこからの形容詞ではないですよね。ここのtonedはおそらくはwell-tonedやgym-tonedという表現にある「筋肉に張りのある、鍛えている」という意味でしょう（toneの語源をみると納得です。そちらは各自チェックしてください）。（UG）
