今回気になった表現はcobble togetherです。これは他動詞用法で、「（（略式））・・・を不細工に継ぎはぎする、やっつけ仕事で仕上げる(+up, together)」（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第３版』大修館）という意味になります。ODOでもチェックしてみると、 ‘(cobble something together) roughly assemble or produce something from available parts or elements’と定義されていました。
