Miura, who played at Brazilian clubs from 1986-1990 early in his professional career, said in a statement through the association: "With the pride and responsibility of a national team member, I will play with all of my might.
Japan futsal coach Miguel Rodrigo told reporters: "I expect him to provide finishing power and leadership that have been lacking in the team.
"He can give us a mixture of intelligence and experience."
Miura scored 55 goals in 89 international matches he played for Japan between 1990 and 2000.

今回取り上げるwith all of my mightです。mightは助動詞としての意味はおなじみではありますが、ここでは名詞として扱われています。手持ちの辞書には古英語で「(肉体的・精神的に大きな)力、腕力、権力、実力、勢力」という意味(『ジーニアス英和辞典』第4版、大修館書店)とありました。さらにはwith all of my mightで「力をふりしぼって、全力を尽くして」という意味(ibid)です。文語ではwith might and mainも同じ意味である事も確認しておきます。(EnDough)
