It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over
やっと帰宅！本日は終日のワークショップでした。昨日は高校生、今日は先生方相手で、さすがに疲れております。
この間、Umeちゃんががんばって記事をアップしてくれて、またtempus fugitさんもコメントを寄せていただき、ありがとうございました。わたしもとりあえずひとつだけアップしておきます。WSJの見出しです。
World Cup: It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over for Japan
The scenario Japan needs is victory against Colombia and Greece beating Ivory Coast or at least holding them to a draw.
If Ivory Coast and Greece play to a scoreless draw, it would leave Japan and Ivory Coast with four points each. The team with the better goal difference would then go through to the next round. Ivory Coast has the advantage on goal difference so Japan would need to defeat Colombia by a margin of two goals in that case.
If they finish with the same goal difference, then the number of goals scored would be the deciding factor, and if in the extremely unlikely case a decision still can’t be reached then Ivory Coast would go through as the winner of the head-to-head game against Japan.

見出しは、もろ、あの歌の題名のもじりです。そう、ひとりであらゆる楽器を奏でることができる、それもプロレベルで、といわれるLENNY KRAVITZのIt Ain't Over Till It's Overですね（やっぱ古い？？）。意味は「（レフリーの）最後のホイッスルを聞くまではまだ終わっていない」、つまり、「わずかだけど可能性はゼロではない」という内容です。
水曜日は白金台支所出張だけど、やっぱり授業優先でしょうね。（UG）
