Young people's mental illness and substance abuse a 'two-way street'

Getting through your teens and early twenties can be tough.

今回気になった表現は、記事の見出しにあるtwo-way streetです。文字通りに「二通り」か何かかと思ってしまいましたが、意味が通らず調べてみますと、「(米略式)相互(相恵)的関係(状況)；お互いの努力でどうにでもなる状況」とありました。(『ジーニアス英和辞典 第4版』大修館)
