Watch your weight during year-end party

The year-end party season is here, and many of us are preparing to gorge on holiday food and drink and New Year osechi fare. But all this holiday overindulgence can take its toll on our health.

“Food served with drinks causes more weight gain than alcohol itself, so avoid high-calorie food such as deep-fried dishes,” Michie said.
Mochi is popular at New Year’s, but it can be a major cause of expanded midriffs. Two pieces of commercially available mochi contain almost the same calories as a bowl of rice. Be careful not to eat too much

しかしこの記事では複数形で用いられていること、LDOCEでは“the part of the body between your chest and your waist”と定義されていることから「腰」を指してることが分かります。

(flyingbird)
