オバマ米大統領の２期目の就任式で歌手ビヨンセさんが行った国歌斉唱が、実際には事前に録音されたものだったとの疑惑が浮上しています。
口パクには音声同期を意味するlip synchronizationを短縮したlip-syncが用いられます。もともとは映画などの口合わせ、アテレコを指していた言葉ですが、今では歌手などがあらかじめ録音された音源に口をあわせ、あたかもそのときに歌っているようにみせることも指すようになりました。
これは欧米の「伝統」のようなもので、今更という感じがしますが、最近の日本の紅白などではどうなのでしょうかね。（UG）
Beyonce lip-syncing furor: She's not the first
Beyonce's musical performance at President Obama's second inauguration on Monday has caused a stir in the press as the U.S. Marine Band said Tuesday that the singer lip-synced to "The Star Spangled Banner."
A source very familiar with the situation tells CBS News that Beyonce performed the National Anthem live, but she pre-recorded a track of the song to sing over. The source said this is a standard performing practice. And the musical accompaniment by the Marine Band? A recording.
