埼玉や徳島などで公務員の「駆け込み退職」が話題になっています。Mainichiはscramble to quitと訳出していました。退職金が減額される改正条例を２月の施行にしたことで起きた現象で、ある程度予想はされていましたが、まさかこれほど大量の教師が退職するというのは想定外だったようです。leaving their students behindという表現がすべてを物語っています。小泉改革のときに経験させられたことが、少しずつまた起き始めています。（UG）
