ここで気になったのは、yummy mummyという表現です。そのままですと、「おいしいお母さん」となってしまいますが、もちろんそんな意味はなく「性的な魅力がある、出産経験を持つ母親」という意味です。Wiktionaryによれば“a mother who is considered sexually attractive”とあります。ただ、この記事ですと、yummy mummyの「性的な魅力(sexually attractive)」の中にはキャリアなどの社会的地位という意味合いもあるようにも思えます。それを踏まえると「なぜ多くの女性が、裕福な夫を捕まえるよりも、むしろ魅力的な女性であり母親でもあるという役を演じるのか、読者の皆さんも理由がわかるだろう」となります。(Othello)

Oxford English Dictionaryによればyumの項目にて、以下のように記述されています。
yummy mummy n. colloq. a young attractive mother.
1993 Calgary Herald 18 June b8/2 If the chick happens to be an attractive mother pushing a stroller, she's a yummy mummy. 2003 Independent 5 May (Rev. section) 13/4 There is admittedly, a phalanx of ‘yummy mummies’ who turn up at the school gates in full slap every morning, dressed as if for a Hollywood premiere.

1993年の初出で、比較的新しい言葉であることがわかります。さらに、「性的な魅力がある母親」という意味から、2003年のThe Independentの使用例でみると、なんだか「着飾った」のような意味合いもyummy mummyにはあるのかな、と考えられます。
