Nissan Europe’s secret Godzilla-powered "Super" Juke
Nissan Europe's working on a top secret project to give their itty-bitty Juke SUV a Godzilla-sized boost. Internally, they've dubbed it the "Super" Juke and not only do we have exclusive first details, but also this exclusive sketch of the super-crossover.
Just a few days after we dubbed the Nissan Juke one of the world's most polarizing cars, we're exclusively revealing Nissan Europe's attempt to do something even more polarizing (polarizingly awesome!) — taking the pedestrian Juke crossover and boosting power to more Godzilla-sized heights.
We're told by our sources at Nissan that this special super-powered Juke will get a stripped-out lightweight interior and a 480 BHP power plant expected to give it a 0-to-60 time of less than four seconds. That likely means they'll be using the same dual-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 found in the Nissan GT-R.
As you can see, the Juke will receive enlarged wheel arches, front splitter and what looks like a double rear wing, split each side of the central rear brake light.
We should expect to officially see the "Super" Juke sometime before the end of the year.

・Godzilla-powered
Godzillaは日本人にはお馴染みの怪獣ですが，ここでは「力の強さ」を表す比喩として用いられています。Godzilla-poweredで「とてつもない（ゴジラ級の）パワーを備えた」と訳すことができます。

・itty-bitty
口語表現で「ちっちゃい, ちっぽけな」という意味です（『プログレッシブ英和中辞典』小学館）。ちなみにitsy-bitsyというときもあるようです（『新英和中辞典』研究社）。

・polarizing cars
英英辞書でpolarizeはto divide into clearly separate groups with opposite beliefs, ideas, or opinions, or to make people do this（LDOCE）と定義されています。『アドバンストフェイバリット英和辞典』（東京書籍）にも「〈世論などを〉（…に）分極化させる，二派に分裂させる」とあり，以上からpolarizing carsは「賛否両論の別れる車」と解釈できます。

・polarizingly awesome!
残念ながら手持ちの辞書にはpolarizinglyという副詞は載っていませんでした。よって，これは私の個人的な解釈ですがpolarizeには上記の意味の他に「〈思想などを〉偏向させる；〈語などに〉特殊な意味を持たせる」という意味があります（『プログレッシブ英和中辞典』同上）。このことからpolarizinglyはawesomeを強調する働きをし，polarizingly awesome!で「人の考え・趣味を偏向させるほどにすごい」と解釈してみました。

・the pedestrian Juke crossover
pedestrianというと「歩行者」という意味がすぐに想起されますが，その他に形容詞で「〈文体小説演説考えなどが〉平凡な, つまらない」という意味があります（『プログレッシブ英和中辞典』同上）。ここでは「平凡なジューククロスオーバー」と解釈できます。

・a stripped-out lightweight
stripには「〈人を〉裸にする, …の衣類をはぐ」という意味の他に「〈車の〉スピードが出せるよう不要な装備を取る」という意味があります（『プログレッシブ英和中辞典』同上）。よってa stripped-out lightweightは「装備を外し軽量化した」となります。

・front splitter
As you can seeと記事にもあるように，front splitterとはNissanと書かれたナンバープレートの下の黒い部分のことです。front wind splitterとも言うようでウェブにはA Front Wind Splitter is a protruding flat surface in the front of a car that is designed to decrease front end lift and exert downforce.のような説明がありました。

これはエアロパーツの1つ。エアロパーツとは「自動車で空気抵抗を減らしたり，気流による車体の浮き上がり（リフト）を抑えたりして，性能や操縦安定を高めるための，空気力学的付加物」（『大辞林』三省堂）を意味する和製英語で正確にはair stabilizerと言います（『JST科学技術用語日英対訳辞書』科学技術振興機構）。splitterの他にspoilerとも言い，日本語に訳す場合は，どうやらどちらも「スプリッター」「スポイラー」とそのまま借用するようです。
