　loom /lúːm/ を取り上げます。後ろにきているheadacheを頭を悩ませるものという意味で考えると、loomingは直面しているという意味になるのではないかと思いました。『ライトハウス英和辞典』（第5版　研究社）で調べると「ぼんやりと現れる、ぼうっと見える（up, through）;（危険などが）じわじわ迫る」とありました。

　LDOCEには “to appear as a large unclear shape, especially in a threatening way” や “if a problem or difficulty looms, it is likely to happen very soon” と定義されています。

　記事の中で述べられている “a looming headache” は既にじわじわと悩みの種として浮き上がっている様子を表しているのだろうと思いました。試合のチケットが取れなかった人にとっては貴重な機会ですが、混雑の面を考えるとパブリックビューイングを見に行くのは難しそうだということが読み取れます。（aqua）
