長野県のホテルサニー志賀で、高校生１７５人の貴重品などが盗まれた事件の容疑者が、７日に逮捕されました。
Man arrested over theft of valuables from 170 students at Nagano hotel

Police arrested a man on Thursday suspected of stealing valuables of about 170 senior high school students while they were staying at a hotel in Nagano Prefecture earlier this year.
Kenichi Takayama, a 47-year-old former employee of the hotel, is also being investigated over a similar case at the same hotel last August in which wallets and other personal effects were stolen from about 340 junior high school students staying there.
Takayama was quoted by the police as telling investigators that he acted alone in the massive theft in January. He had a key to the hotel’s reception desk where valuables were kept at night, according to the police.

Merriam-Webster.comは、” privately owned items (as clothing and jewelry) normally worn or carried on the person”と定義しています。さらに、「持ち運びのできる個人的な財産」という意味が含まれることが、Weblioで述べられていました。なので、ある程度の経済的価値がある所持品のことを指すようです。
