"win-at-all costs" attitude
桜ノ宮高校の体罰（暴行??）事件で、教育評論家の中にはスポーツの「勝利至上主義」に問題があると言っていました。勝つことで教師が評価されるため、教師側も勝つために体罰も辞さない流れになるそうです。
そこで「勝利至上主義」は英語で何というのか気になりました。一つはアームストロング氏がドーピングを認めたことに関する記事の中にある"win-at-all cost" attitudeと表現できるのではないでしょうか。win at allには「とにかく勝つ」というニュアンスになるので、"win-at-all costs" attitudeは「なにがなんでも/とにかく勝たなければならないという姿勢」ということでしょう。
