わたしもFIFA. comから。昨夜行われたアジア地区予選の各試合では下馬評をひっくり返す結果となったことを以下の見出しで伝えています（あらためてFIFAは辛口です！）。
underdogは「勝てそうにないチーム、勝ち目のない対戦相手」、さらには、「社会的な負け犬」というひどい意味があります。先生が以前、授業で「勝ち目のないほうを応援するを英訳する場合には、I always root for the underdog.と言うことができる。」と言われていたことが恥ずかしながら今、分かりました。（GP）
