A vehicle of a man who was arrested Friday for allegedly abandoning the body of a Vietnamese girl in Chiba Prefecture was captured by a security camera installed near the site where her school bag and other belongings were found, investigative sources said Sunday.

The suspect, Yasumasa Shibuya, 46, was also found to have worked in the transport industry, the sources said.

The Chiba prefectural police believe that Shibuya, who runs a real estate lease business, is familiar with areas around the sites where the belongings of the nine-year-old girl, Le Thi Nhat Linh, and her body were found.

Shibuya has kept silent over the high-profile incident, the sources said.
