　vaunted /vˈɔːnṭɪd/ を取り上げます。vaunted accuracyとあることから、正確性が高い様子を表していると思いました。『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第4版　大修館書店）で調べると「（正式）ご自慢の」とありました。

　LDOCEには “a plan, system, achievement etc that is vaunted is praised or talked about too much and in a way that is too proud” と定義されています。 “too proud” という部分からは、マイナスの意味も含まれることがわかります。

　動詞の形のvauntについて、Merriam-Websterでは “to make a vain display of one's own worth or attainments” や “to call attention to pridefully and often boastfully” と説明されており、自分のことを鼻にかけている様子が伝わってくる表現だと思いました。（aqua）
