Greetings from LA

Happy New Year from California! I hope you guys have a wonderful New Year day! It is three thirty in the afternoon on December 31st here in South Pasadena. I will be hanging out with my friends at LA downtown to celebrate a New Year day.

I am truly thankful to everyone who has meant to me. By being away from Japan, I could realize to what extent everyone was significant in my life. And most of all, I appreciate to Dr. Tanabe and my amazing fellows for having been encouraging me.

Let me briefly look back upon the last eight months. During a ten-week-long Intensive English Program, I made a lot of efforts to adjust to, not to mention American culture, a new style of time management in a day. Dealing with a lot of homework was not as easy as I thought. After I got done with the IEP, I traveled along the West Coast. On the 14th of August, Fall Semester started. I would never forget the indescribable feelings that were similar to anxiety before the very first class. Almost two weeks ago, the semester was done. It was the moment that my heart was filled with accomplishments.
“Honestly, it’s not for everyone.” I still cannot get used to that. No matter how many times I feel bored, nothing will change. I have got to do what I need to do.

May New Year be fantastic for everyone,
WREN
