FUKUOKA — A unique basketball court recently opened at a sports center in Fukuoka that features a floor emblazoned with Japanese characters inside manga speech bubbles.
On the court at the city’s Higashi Ward indoor sports facility Pivole Fukuoka, are expressions such as “dam” — an onomatopoeic word to describe the sound of a bouncing ball — and “Practice will never let you down.”
