The third week of my stay in Canada
Dear Dr. Tanabe,
It has been three weeks since I arrived at Calgary, and my new life here has been going well so far.
One thing that I am concerned about is that I cannot be able to get acclimatized to a certain climate in Calgary. Still, I love this city as the locales are quite outgoing and thoughtful, and they approach everyone in a friendly way.
Last week, one of my Canadian friends took me around the downtown in Calgary, and we stopped by a dining bar "Local" and then had fish and chips. That was scrumptious. Fish and chips might be the best deep-fried food I have ever had.
Including myself, there are only five students in my class (a student from Saudi Arabia, another student is from Iran, and three Japanese). I was very surprised with such a small number, yet I suppose that we could work together better than a big number.
By the way, I have got a weekend off and enjoyed a backyard barbeque at my host family's house. We had an awesome time chatting a lot with each other. I hope that I will hit it off with my host family from now on.
Please take care,
Best,
