Kuala Lumpur Day 3 & 4

It has been four days since I came here Kuala Lumpur. I’m getting used to the weather, which is humid and hot, like the one in Tokyo. This time I would like to talk about the food In Malaysia.

I think street vendor food is really popular. Kuala Lumpur is a big city, so there are many fancy restaurants. However, a lot of people including tourists do not go to those fact ones. Instead they go out to the streets for street food. Luckily, I experienced both but I definitely recommend the ones on the street. The reason is really simple. It’s cheep and delicious. For example, Hokkien Noodle, which is like Yakisoba was only 10 ringgits (about 300 yen). Also, nasi goreng, like Chinese fried rice, was 12 ringgits.

These are good points of Malaysian food, but unfortunately I found a bad point. It is about hygiene. It is said that sewage here is not clean, so we shouldn’t drink water directly from taps. I knew this and tried not to drink it. But I didn’t think about “ice” in drinks. From my foolishness, I eat the ice ( this is my bad habit) and perhaps this is why my stomach hurts now.

So in brief, food at stalls is cheep and delicious, but we have to care about water. (Large Lake)
