日本のグッズを偽造した品物の押収件数が増加しています。
Japanese customs authorities say the number of seizures of counterfeit goods arriving in the country topped 30,000 last year.
The figure was up by 17.6 percent from the previous year, and is the 2nd highest on record in 30 years.
They say more than 90 percent of such shipments came from China.
Fake brand-name handbags, wallets and other fashion items accounted for about 40 percent of the total. That was followed by clothing and footwear.
Customs officials also seized a large number of items featuring trademarked characters used without permission.
