この単語は”pan” “dem” ”ic”の3つに分かれます。一つ目の部分はギリシャ語が由来であり、「全て」を意味する接頭辞です。”panacea”（万能薬）、”pandemonium” （大混乱）に同じです。真ん中の部分もギリシャ語で「人々」を意味する単語”demos”が起源であります。”democracy”はその一例ですね。最後は形容詞を作る接尾辞です。(Large Lake)
