“goody bag”を取りあげます。“good”がつくように「（菓子などの）おいしいもの、楽しいもの、いいもの」の“goody”と“bag”が組み合わせです。Oxford living dictionaryでは“A bag containing a selection of desirable products, especially one five away as promotional offer”と定義されており、ここでは「プレゼント袋」のような意味で使われているかと思いました。
“goody/ goodie”はイギリス英語で「（本や映画の）ヒーロー」（『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版、大修館書店）や、“goody-goody”で「いい子ぶったやつ」を指します。(flying bird)
