　make publicを取り上げます。上記では文脈てきに、その女の子のフルネームは公の場に出されなかった、つまり公表されなかったという訳になるかと思います。手持ちの辞典には記載されていなかったのですが『英和辞典Weblio辞書』によると、「〈…を〉公表する、周知する」とありました。LDOCEでpublicを引くと4番目の定義known about by most peopleの例文に以下のように載っていました。”Details of the highly sensitive information have not been made public” 上記やこの例文のようにbe動詞と一緒に用いてbe made publicのように使われることが多いようです。
