電通が従業員の過労による自殺問題からの立て直しを図るなか、その労働基準監察官への応募者数が増えていることが発表されました。

気になったのは“indictment” /indάɪtmənt/です。『ジーニアス英和辞典』で調べたところ、「（…の/…に関する）悪いしるし、起訴、非難」と」ありました。またLDOCEでは、”be an indictment of something”で”to be a very clear sign that a system, method etc is very bad or very wrong”と定義されていました。 電通の現状についてインターネットで調べてみましたが新しい記事はあまりなかったのですが、過労死問題の直後も夜の残業はなくなったものの、朝5時から点灯している様子が見受けられていたそうです。 (Kiwi girl)
