　VR技術を生かした新型のアトラクションがハウステンボスに登場しました。

Through the magic of virtual reality (VR) technologies, the Huis Ten Bosch theme park says it has made the impossible possible, with the launch of the world’s most thrilling roller coaster.

Debuting on Aug. 1, the VR-King attraction offers visitors a chance to experience a roller coaster with an unimaginable drop of 300 meters and a top speed of 270 kph.

To enjoy the virtual super-speed ride, riders board the vehicle cart modeled after a roller coaster and wear a head-mounted display and a headphone.

A 2-minute, 30-second video will be played in front of their eyes, making them feel like they are riding the roller coaster as it swoops down from the sky for 300 meters and races through buildings, woods and a cave at breakneck speed.

　LDOCEには “at breakneck speed/pace” で “extremely and often dangerously fast” と定義されています。
