　奈良県大和郡山市の養魚場では夏祭りに向けた金魚の販売が盛んに行われています。

　見出しの“Big pond, small fish”が慣用句のもじりだと思ったので調べてみました。

　Cambridge Dictionaryでは“to have a lot of influence only over a small area”と定義されています。日本語でいう「井の中の蛙大海を知らず」に当たるようです。記事に添付されている写真では養魚場の中にいくつもの箱の中に金魚が仕切られるように入っている様子が分かります。市のホームページによると金魚の養魚は享保9年(1724年)に柳澤吉里候が甲斐の国(山梨県)から大和郡山へ入部のときに始まるそうです。(flying bird)
