People in search of the “perfect selfie” are being targeted by a maker of a handy LED penlight, which promises to help achieve natural-looking lighting for those self-centered social media moments.

The flattering light generated by the “Photogenic Light ReiMi,” developed by Nagoya based-manufacturer Brother Enterprise Ltd., is said to enhance facial shots and make food photos more enticing.

The penlight-shaped light-emitting diode (LED) syncs information to a smartphone via a Bluetooth wireless connection. Pushing the ReiMi’s shutter while pointing the user's smartphone lens at their subject enables users to achieve their desired shots.
