Yokohama Mayor Hayashi easily wins third term
YOKOHAMA – Yokohama Mayor Fumiko Hayashi cruised to a third four-year term on Sunday by defeating two former national and local politicians.
The 71-year-old, who had the backing of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its junior coalition partner, Komeito, beat former House of Representatives member Kazuyoshi Nagashima, 50, and former Yokohama Municipal Assemblyman Hirotaka Ito, 39.
“cruise”を取りあげます。「船旅」などのクルーズ船を思い浮かべますが違った意味を持つようです。
