Ueno zoo to start taking public suggestions for panda cub name on July 28
Starting on July 28, the public will get the chance to suggest names for the baby panda born at Ueno Zoological Gardens on June 12, Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike announced at a July 7 news conference.
Anyone who wants to take a shot at naming the cub will be able to submit their ideas either through a suggestion box at the zoo in the capital's Ueno Park or online, though details of the submission process are still under consideration.
