Minions go from film favorites to theme park stars at Osaka’s USJ
OSAKA--Universal Studios Japan (USJ) turned yellow on April 19 as about 1,500 costumed guests celebrated the new Minion Park, dedicated to the banana-loving characters from the U.S. animated film series “Despicable Me.”
Attractions at the park include the “Minion Hacha-Mecha Ride” featuring a vehicle designed by Gru, the supervillain boss of the Minions, which sways as a story plays out on a giant screen.

“sway”を取り上げます。『ウィズダム英和辞典』(第３版、三省堂)を引いたところ、「〈木・人などが〉揺れる、揺れ動く」とありました。また、LDOCEでは“to move slowly from one side to another”と定義されています。
“sway”には「〈人・意見などが〉動揺する、；ぐらつく；一方に傾く」という意味もあります。物が揺れること、そして気持ちが揺れることも表現することができる点において“shake”と使い方が似ているのではないかと思います。(Blue Sky)
