Vandals cut head off Taiwan statue of Japanese engineer

The statue of a Japanese engineer built at a dam in Tainan, southern Taiwan, has been vandalized, according to the city.

On Sunday morning, the head of the statue of Yoichi Hatta, who contributed to the construction of the Wushantou Reservoir dam, was found to be cut off. Its whereabouts are unknown.
