In September 1978, a small group of fetal Minamata disease patients joined together to invite and organize a concert by popular singer Sayuri Ishikawa, giving them the feeling of accomplishment for the first time.

On Feb. 11, Ishikawa returned to Minamata for an encore performance for those same patients, many of whom are now in their 60s.
