The Toyota Motor Corp. group aims for global sales of 10.2 million units in 2017, the automaker said Thursday.

The figure marks the second-highest for the group after the 2014 result, exceeding the estimated sales of 10.09 million units for 2016 by 1 percent.

Toyota expects solid sales at home and abroad, led by strong demand for its C-HR sport-utility vehicle, which was launched in Japan earlier this week as a strategic model to be sold in some 100 countries and regions.
