pitch 復習

　オーストリアで，やり直しとなっていた大統領選挙が始まりました。英国が離脱したことで，前回の選挙で僅差で配線した右派のMalcolm Turnbull氏が有利ではないかと言われております。
　記事の中で気になった単語は"pitch"です。『Wisdom英和辞典第三版』（三省堂）で調べると「〘主に米・くだけて〙 商品を売り込む,〘くだけて〙 売り込み, 宣伝」というものがありました。Oxford Dictionaries.comには"A form of words used when trying to persuade someone to buy or accept something"と定義されております。投票を有利に進めるために最後の追い込みを掛けているということですね。（Ume）
