講演内容：英語指導におけるリーディング力とライティング力の発達の密接な関係を支持する研究に基づき、本講演ではライティングに焦点を置いた指導の中にリーディング指導を体系的に取り入れる枠組みを提示する。リーディングとライティングの関連性を最大限に生かすように考案されたタスクを紹介し、ライティング指導のための適切なリーディング教材選定規準、課題作成規準、評価規準を提案する。

Abstract: EFL, ESL, and EAP writing courses typically require intensive reading, yet cultivating reading proficiency often assumes a secondary role relative to building writing skills. Informed by research supporting the interdependence of reading and writing development, this practical presentation will outline a framework for integrating reading instruction systematically into EFL instruction — particularly units, activities, assignments, and assessments that focus principally on writing. By introducing participants to integrated, text-based tasks designed to maximize reading-writing connections, the presenter will recommend criteria for selecting appropriate reading materials for writing instruction, constructing scaffolded literacy assignments, and developing an integrative assessment plan.
