今回は"be trailing with"を取り上げます。trailから映画などの予告編のことをtrailerと言うと考えましたが、調べてみると他に引きずる人という意味もあり、そこから通常進行形で「遅れを取っている」という意味があることがわかりました。(『ジーニアス英和辞典(大修館書店)』)

with をとっている用例が見つからなかったのですが、今回のようにwithをとることもあることがわかりました。(lua)
