“steal the show”をとりあげます。これは以前にも扱われたように「人気を独り占めする、話題をさらう、主役の座を奪う」という表現でした（『ジーニアス英和辞典第５版』大修館書店）。LDOCEでは“to do something, especially when you are acting in a play, that makes people pay more attention to you than to other people”と定義されています。
