３０日午前、神奈川県小田原市を走行中の東海道新幹線下り「のぞみ225号」で火災が発生し、緊急停止しました。火災の原因が、男性の乗客が油のようなものをかぶり、火をつけたことである。この事件で、男女2人が死亡、2人が重傷、8人が軽傷を負いました。
