川崎市の河川敷で、中学1年生の遺体が発見された事件に関する記事です。近くの防犯カメラには複数の少年が捉えられており、その後再び通りかかった際に人数が1人減っていたことから集団暴行を受けたのではないかという疑いが強まっています。
“footage”には、「（ある事件・出来事を描いた）映画、映像、場面」という意味があります。『Wisdom英和辞典』（三省堂）『英辞郎on the WEB』には「監視カメラの映像、ビデオ」とあり、”foot”(foot as a unit of length)に状態、動作を表す接尾辞の-ageが付いたものです。『Wiktionary英語版』映像から犯人を特定出来たりしますが、”foot”という語を使っているので「足取り」という日本語をイメージしました。

The footage shows a group of people apparently walking toward the place where the boy’s body was discovered. From the footage, it appears the same group of people later walked back toward the direction from where they had come, but with one person fewer, according to investigators.
The crime scene is just a few hundred meters from Minatocho Station on the Keihin Kyuko Daishi Line. It is about 2 km from the residential area where Uemura lived.
