ここで注目すべきは、kinesiologyという語です。以前、先生に、kineは「体」を表すと教わったことがありました（NVCの一体系にkineticsという分野があり、それで覚えました）。-logyは、講義を受けていたK先生から「学問によくつく接尾辞」であると教わりました。

以上のことから、「体に関する学問」であることは分かりましたが、さていったいどういう意味でしょうか。『リーダーズ英和辞典』第３版（研究社）には「（身体）運動学；運動療法」（"the study of the principles of mechanics and anatomy in relation to human movement"--Webster）という意味が載っていました。(Kawada)
