generous tipper
ゼミでは英語を特徴づける名詞構文について学びましたが、早速、generous tipperという表現に出会いました。12人分の全額（約18万）をひとりで支払った（footed the entire bill）上で、約8万円近くのチップも支払ったとのこと。まさにgenerous tipper（太っ腹）ですね。英語における名詞表現の面白さを実感しました。こうした経験の連続が上達へとつながることがよく分かりました。
ちなみにTavern on the Greenは多くのスターが通うNYCの最高級老舗レストランだそうです。わたしもいつか、連れていってもらいたいものです。（green）

Hideki Matsui is one generous tipper.
The former Yankees slugger left a $700 tip on a $1,700 bill at Tavern on the Green on Sunday night, a source told Page Six. That translates to a gratuity of roughly 40 percent.
Matsui, 40, footed the entire bill for his group of 12 friends, the source added.
The table paired the meal with Laphroaig single malt whisky and wine.
