アメリカの消費者情報誌Consumer Reportsで自動車信頼性調査が行われ， Lexusを含めトヨタが上位を独占するという結果が出ました。
infotainmentはinformationalとentertainmentが合わさった造語で「事実・事件を元にした映画テレビのドラマ」（英辞郎on the WEB）という意味を持ちます。しかし，今回のように自動車に関する文脈においてinfotainment systemsという形で用いられた場合は，オーディオやラジオ，テレビ機能が一体となった「情報娯楽システム」を意味します。（Koyamamoto）

Toyota brands remain at top of reliability survey
DETROIT – Toyota has continued its winning streak atop Consumer Reports’ annual reliability rankings.
The company’s Toyota and Lexus brands top the survey, while its Scion brand is in the top 10. It’s the eighth year in a row that a Toyota brand has led the rankings.
… Infotainment systems generated the most complaints from Consumer Reports’ readers and hurt many brands with new models, including Infiniti, Fiat and Cadillac. The most common problems were unresponsive touch screens and trouble with pairing up phones.
