今回は相撲から離れ、野球の話題に行きたいと思います。東京ヤクルトスワローズの小川泰弘投手が新人ながら初勝利を挙げたという記事から表現を取り上げたいと思います。本来なら野球部のゼミ生が挙げるべきなのですが、私が挙げました（トホホ…）。
記事の見出しにあるpostという語は基本語ですが、「〈勝利を〉記録する」という意味でも用いられることが分かりました（『リーダーズ英和辞典』（第３版、研究社））。LDOCEを引いてみますと；

Ogawa posts 1st victory since April
Yasuhiro “Ryan” Ogawa worked seven scoreless innings, and Ryosuke Morioka and Tetsuto Yamada both doubled in a three-run second inning that carried the Tokyo Yakult Swallows past the Hiroshima Carp 3-2 on Monday at Jingu Stadium.
The victory was the first for Ogawa (4-2) since April 11.
Yakult skipper Junji Ogawa said he sensed his starting pitcher was going to be effective.
“He’s the kind of pitcher whose effort is something you can feel in each and every pitch,” the manager said.
The right-hander fired a spirited 107 pitches in his first win in about three months, and he did it with a special motivation.
