と、見出しと本文でsanitizeを使って訳していました。この語は「(消毒・清掃などによって)衛生的にする」というのが一義ですが、比喩では「を健全に見せかける」（ "to make more acceptable by removing unpleasant or undesired features" ）という意味があります。「よく見せる、体裁を整える」さらには「お化粧する」などという日本語にも近いのかもしれません。（UG）
