eBayが雇用規定を巡って罰金を支払うことになりました。記事の中で気になった単語は"poach"です。『Wisdom第三版（三省堂）』によると「（人材を）引き抜く，（他人のアイデアを）盗用する」などという意味がありました。インターネットオークション大手のeBayは従業員に対して，転職を禁止しておりました。IT産業のような有形資産よりも無形の資産が重視される企業では従業員の知識というものがものすごく重視されると思います。しかし，従業員は企業の支配されているわけではないので，同業企業に引き抜かれたり，転職してしまうこともあります。この知識のスピルオーバーの問題をいかに考えるのかはこれからの社会でますます重要になっていくと思います。（Ume）
eBay to pay fine to US regulators over no-poaching deal
E-commerce giant eBay has agreed to a settlement relating to accusations of anti-competitive hiring behaviour.
In two separate lawsuits by US regulators, eBay was accused of agreeing with technology firm Intuit not to poach each others' employees.
eBay will pay California $3.75m (£2.2m) and refrain from anti-competitive hiring behaviour for five years.
The suits were brought by US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Attorney General of California in 2012.
The settlement is subject to approval by a California court.
